Peter serves as Chief Research & Development Officer at Treefrog Therapeutics, where he oversees all aspects of research and development, pre-clinical activities and pipeline advancement. Peter holds an adjunct professor appointment at Johns Hopkins University and has authored over 40 scientific papers and patents.

Jo Brewer is the Chief Scientific Officer at Adaptimmune leading the Research division to generate innovative cell therapies for people with cancer. One of the founding scientists at Adaptimmune, Jo has over 20 years experience in immunotherapy. She has built multiple research teams working on the early SPEAR T-cell therapies (including lete-cel (NY-ESO), afamicel (MAGE A4) and ADP-AFP), early next-gen approaches, including ADP-A2M4CD8, as well as a stem cell derived allogeneic platform.

Prior to joining Adaptimmune in 2009, Jo held positions at Avidex, Medigene and Immunocore. She holds a master’s degree in Natural Sciences and a PhD in cellular signalling, both from the University of Cambridge, UK.

Terri has over 25 years of expertise in life sciences research and development in both academic and industrial settings with an emphasis on the development and translation of cell- and gene-based therapeutics. She joined Rinri from the Cell and Gene Therapy Catapult where she worked on the translation of a broad range of candidate therapies, including stem cell-derived, in addition to supporting infrastructure and technologies.

Prior to this, Terri held senior roles in industry focussed on the development of processes for the expansion and differentiation of pluripotent stem cells for both therapeutic use and drug discovery.

Nagy Habib ChM, FRCS is a Professor of Surgery and active surgeon operating on patients with presenting pathology in the liver, pancreas and biliary system, a leading translational researcher in liver cancer and its treatment and he has founded several spin-out companies which developed innovative treatments for patients.

He pioneered the first clinical trial in the use of adenovirus for the treatment of liver cancer, as well as the use of plasmid gene therapy for hydrodynamic gene delivery. He is the first person in the West to publish a clinical trial on the use of autologous adult bone marrow-derived stem cells and RNA activation for the treatment of patients with liver insufficiency and liver cancer.

In June 2007 he was appointed a Pro Rector and member of the College Management Board. He held a gold award from the Advisory Committee for Clinical Excellence, which is given in recognition of exceptional contributions by NHS consultants.

Aline is Professor of Biomolecular Engineering and Associate Dean for Business Engagement and Innovation providing strategic leadership and operational management within the Faculty of Science and Engineering, University of Manchester. She is also Director of the NW Industrial Biotechnology Innovation Catalyst - a £5m flagship programme supercharging the growth of careers, business and our regional economy, while delivering a low carbon economy - and Chief Scientific Officer for the Unit M project to create the best-in-class innovation ecosystem in the heart of the city centre. Aline is also Elected Trustee of the Royal Society of Chemistry, Trustee of The Humane Research Trust and Member of the Industrial Committee for TERMIS.

Ruben Rizzi, physician by training, SVP of Global Regulatory Affairs at BioNTech. Joined the company in December 2019 just before the pandemic, and acted as the global regulatory lead for BioNTech for the development of the mRNA COVID-19 vaccine COMIRNATY.

Currently co-leading the Global Regulatory Affairs department at BioNTech and working closely with the teams that are responsible for the development of BioNTech´s pipeline, post-approval activities and labelling.

Kerry Sieger oversees all operational, systems, and validation Quality activities as Vice President Global Quality Operations at Immatics, a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company active in the discovery and development of T cell-redirecting cancer immunotherapies.  Starting her career as a bench scientist, Sieger moved to Quality when she accepted a position at a gene therapy company in Houston. She alternated between industry and academia until joining Immatics in 2015 as Senior Manager QA/QC. Sieger holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Notre Dame and a Master’s degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology from Washington University in St. Louis.
